SHAKE IT UP IN ALBUQUERQUE!: WHY WHEEL BALANCING

SHAKE IT UP IN ALBUQUERQUE!: WHY WHEEL BALANCING

Our vehicles are not massage chairs. While we may enjoy a good vibration in an overstuffed recliner, us Albuquerque motorists generally want as smooth a ride as possible in our vehicles. One way to achieve this is to keep a vehicle’s wheels in balance. When a tire is mounted onto a wheel, it is usually out of balance. WHEN ARE YOUR TIRES WORN OUT?

We’re referring to the Consumer Reports call to consider replacing tires when tread reaches 4/32 of an inch, or 3.2 millimeters. And the recommendation is backed by some very compelling studies. The issue is braking on wet surfaces in and around Bernalillo. Most of us think of our brakes doing most of the work, but if you don’t have enough tread on your tires, the brakes can’t d ... read more

RECOMMENDED ALBUQUERQUE SERVICE INTERVALS

Everyone in Albuquerque, New Mexico knows we are advised to go to our Albuquerque dentist twice a year. Oral-conscious Albuquerque residents have a teeth-cleaning and examination. Once a year, we get x-rays to look for problems that can't be seen with the naked eye. When our dentist is done, he/she tells us what was found - "Everything's fine, see you in six months." Or "You've got a small cavity starting, let's schedule an appointment to take care of it." By the time you leave, you have a plan for addressing any necessary issues. This system works so much better than waiting for a painful problem before going into the dentist. Small problems are fixed before they turn into big expensive problems. And you avoid those huge bills. If Bernalillo folks understand the wisdom of using this system for handling dental care, why do many resist when facing the same system for our vital car maintenance?
